April Is National Poetry Month: Enhance Elementary Students’ Skills by Teaching Poetry

Teaching poetry to elementary students is a blast! Not only does it enhance their language and literacy skills, but it also encourages their critical thinking and creativity. When I first introduced my students to poetry, I wasn’t sure how they would react. But as soon as we started reading and writing poems together, they were hooked!
